Susan Crawford founded Medical Office Manager in 1987 and has served as editor since that time.

She began her work as a journalist with the Macon News in Macon, GA, when she was in college and later became wire editor for the paper and then woman's editor. She has also taught English, writing, and journalism and has served as a health care writer and editor for various publications.

In 1990 she founded a second newsletter, Law Office Administrator, which covers the management of law firms. And in 1992, she founded Ardmore Publishing Company, which now publishes the two newsletters. Ardmore has recently expanded to the publishing of literature and has released its first book, Lest You Forget; The Poems of Violet Witherspoon, a collection of poems from the Victorian South.

Susan is a graduate of Wesleyan College in Macon. Her personal interests are gardening and classical piano, and she is a member of the the board of directors of the Atlanta Steinway Society and also of Mt. de Sales Academy in Macon.
